"test shot"

As I mentioned in my last post I finally got my new digital camera back from Best Buy and I just wanted to share the "test shot" I took at the store... how cute is that?!

My weekend...

I found out over the weekend that Tara, RaE and I all check each others blogs everyday so I felt sort of bad that I've been slacking on the updates! I know what it's like to click on one of their blogs day after day and find nothing new (yes, that was a hint!)

So here goes...

My weekend did not start off with a movie, which may sound surprising to you all but that seems to be the way it goes lately with Katie working. I'm trying hard right now to remember the last movie we saw actually! Hmmm... I think it was "Music & Lyrics" about three weekends ago! So, if anyone wants to make a movie date just let me know!

Saturday I did my laundry, cleaned out the fridge, did the garbage and recycling and got ready to head out to Ajax for the rest of the weekend (I'm just getting home now!) We met at Eastside Mario's for dinner and headed to Yuk Yuk's for some stand-up comedy (which really wasn't all that funny!) Afterwards, half the group went for some Timmy's and went our separate ways around 2am. Does anyone else find that we get cliquey when we're all out together?!

I slept at Lough's last night and thought for sure that meant that I'd be woken up bright and early by the nieces but I didn't get up until 2pm! Madi and I headed out to the mall to exchange a pair of shoes (for a smaller size shockingly enough!) and hit the Ricki's "friends and family" 20% off sale. I may have bought a few things ;)

Also, I picked up my camera at Best Buy and guess what the problem was? The batteries?! Please I'm not that blond! It was broken damn it! But that's what they told me and it works so who knows for sure?! (they did have it for an awfully long time though)

We had a nice home cooked meal and I have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow... one less thing to get ready tonight!

It's been a while...

So, I know that it's been a while since I've written an actual post but I guess there's really nothing exciting to talk about. I've noticed that everyone's blog seems to be getting updated less and less and maybe it's just that time of year. Holidays are over, the weather is crap and we seem to be spending all our time working (or at least it feels that way!)

I've settled in to my new life for the most part but still have times when I just feel out of sorts. I don't know if that makes any sense but I'm not sure how else to describe it. I just hope life gets exciting soon...

I'm such a loser!

I had a dentist appointment this morning at 9am that I had to drive into Ajax for and because I woke up late (surprise, surprise I know) I had to come home before heading into work (to shower and change) but I fell asleep when I got home and didn't wake up until almost 2pm - oops!

So, when I woke up I MSN'd RaE and she came up with the best fake excuse and really fast I might add!

I fell in love today...

... with the HOTTEST pair of shoes! I just had to buy them! And you'll be shocked to hear that I didn't get them at Aldo :-O

How odd is this...

Remember when I wrote my post about breaking my glasses? I thought it was odd that all those little things happened that day and questioned whether it was meant to happen? Well, how's this for meaning...

If I hadn't have broken my glasses, I wouldn't have had to pick them up from the eye doctors the Friday morning before I went into the hospital and if I hadn't have picked them up then they wouldn't have been in my purse and if they weren't in my purse then I would've been able to see much of anything until after my Dad came to the hospital the following morning. Which was after all my tests had been completed and for those of you who wear glasses you know how awful it would've been to be in a hospital you've never been in for like 12 hours and not be able to see anything or anyone!

So it seems that maybe it did happen for a reason?
