Look at that giant cock over there!

Relax I'm taking about a rooster! What were you thinking? Ah, that makes me laugh every time!

I just thought I'd cheat a bit and take some time from my busy work day (and that's NOT sarcastic) and write a bit about my weekend...

On Friday night, Katie and I decided to switch things up and went to the late show after a trip to the mall for Nicole's bridal shower gift. Of course, I got side tracked and did a little shopping for myself too! Anyways, we decided on a salt and pepper shaker from her registry (if you want all the sorted details on that story you'll have to ask Katie!) As for the movie we saw "The Last Kiss" with Zach Braff - it was VERY good! I'd definitely recommend it (I'm not sure how much that says since I'd watch just about anything!)

Saturday was filled with sleeping in (far too late!) and working from home until I headed out for a mini University reunion. Pino was down from Ottawa for the weekend so we headed over to Casey's for a bite and some drinks. When I asked everyone if they'd pick Trent if they could do it all over again only André said yes - I certainly would have chosen differently. The funniest part of the evening had to be when Laura turned to me and said, "Look at that huge cock over there!" Naturally I looked at the waiter and not the wooden rooster on the mantel beside him! Of course, we both burst out laughing! The joke worked just as well when I said the same thing to Katie about 10 minutes later.

Katie ended up sleeping over Saturday night so we could just head straight out to Nicole's shower on Sunday morning. Turns out that was a bad idea - we didn't shut up until after 5am and that was after we had said, "we really should go to sleep now!" atleast 3 times.

So after we dragged our butts out of bed at 9:30am we were on our way (leaving only 40 minutes behind schedule). Surprisingly enough we were 8 minutes early - which I believe may be a new record for me! It was nice to see Nicole and only awkward for the first few minutes, which we expected since it's been so long since we've seen her. The shower was really fun and I even won some prizes!

There was a game based on Hollywood couples - of course I was going to win that! See useless celebrity gossip does have it rewards!

We also had a scavenger hunt with a neat twist - it was based on the contents of our purses! Duh, how could we lose that one - you've all seen my purse or at least the general idea - BIG! Between myself, Katie and one of Nicole's Aunts we got all the items on the list except 5 and earned 111 points (or 104 without cheating).

For the last game, we were given a bag with tissue paper, a roll of toilet paper, ribbon, 3 doilies, plastic flowers and tape. We formed the same group for this game and used Nicole's Aunt as our fashion victim. Turns out I'm really creative! And yes I am taking the credit for this one Katie! ;)

The bachelorette party is in Toronto next Saturday night and I'm looking forward to it! Given my track record I probably won't write again until afterwards so check back then for all the juicy details!

Okay, I think I've made up for not writing sooner and I think it's only taken me four hours to write this (it's now 5:35pm).

"Challenge" Complete! (sort of)

Last week we continued with our movies and saw "Material Girls" and "Little Miss Sunshine" - RaE was right - it was very funny! And a good recommendation! We decided not to see "World Trade Center" which was okay with me as I wasn't really looking forward to bawling for two hours straight!

On Friday we took in two more movies - "Hollywoodland" (which was far too long!) and "The Convanent" which I REALLY liked! I don't know why really, it wasn't anything too spectacular but definately more than I expected it to be! It didn't hurt that the boys were hott and sported skin for a lot of the movie - is it wrong to think a 20 year old is hott? (please say "no"!)

4 down... 3 to go...

One of the movies on our list is no longer in theatres so it brought our list down to 7 to see in 10 days (I had already seen it with RaE anyways). So far we've seen 4, so we're more than halfway there!

Accepted - predictable but enjoyable

Step Up! - I had actually already seen it but it was more enjoyable the second time without my cousin bitching in my ear!

The Illusionist - The most obvious ending EVER! I was really looking forward to this one and it left me disappointed :(

Talladega Nights: The Balland of Ricky Bobby - "98% of us will die at some point in our lives" - hahahahaha! enough said!

Madi and I had a "girls day" today so we went for lunch, some shopping and then to the movies. We saw "Barnyard: The Original Party Animals", it was both cute and funny - perfect for a 5 year old!

(I guess I'll see 8 movies in 10 days after all!)
